A two-phase construction project will begin on Monday on the road next to Washington Park Preschool in Washington Park, according to the Springfield Park District Facebook page.
Grace Batterman, a senior at Springfield High School, said she would have never foreseen missing her senior homecoming or being on the dance squad and not being able to perform at games.
