Star Wars Reads Week!
May the Force Be With You! 
Get ready for a week of fun and exciting programs for all ages, October 6-12! 
We’re going to kick-off the week with a Star Wars Roadshow on Sunday, October 6, at 2:00pm, where a panel of experts will evaluate your Star Wars items. Check out more programs from the list of events below like LEGO Star Wars, Young Padawan Storytime, Star Wars Trivia, and Star Wars Putt-Putt Golf. The week will end with a Star Wars celebration on Saturday, October 12, at 11:00am, with members of the 501st Legion, an international fan-based cosplay organization! The Star Wars Universe is filled with amazing stories - told through both books and film. We can’t wait to dive into this vast and diverse world with you!

Kids in grades K-2, bring your lab coats and create some amazing Star Wars-inspired concoctions.

Thursday, October 10, at 4:30 PM
Play, battle, and create with us as we celebrate everything Pokémon! Feel free to bring your own cards and devices if you would like to trade or battle. Grades 3-12.

The Official Kentucky Liar's Contest      
Monday, September 30, at 6:00 PM
We are proud to present The Official Kentucky Liar's Contest in celebration of Kentucky Storytelling Month. Anyone can tell a tall tale, and we invite you to bring your best to compete for marvelous prizes, bragging rights, and the title of "Kentucky's Best Liar." All ages may enter (prizes will be awarded in Youth Division and Adult Division).

Camp Out
Friday, October 4, at 11:00 AM
Families with kids of all ages, join us for a Friday morning camp out at the Library with stories, crafts, and snacks! Registration is not required.

Reader's Theater Performance: Are You Scared, Darth Vader?

In celebration of Capital Pride, join us for a panel discussion on what it’s like to be “out” in the American South. Topics will include coming out, how the South changes the way LGBTQ+ individuals live, and the future of the LGBTQ+ community in the southern states.
