A cloud of fear has descended upon our beautiful Israel. Over the past few hours, an alarming number of rockets, numbering up to 600, have been launched from Gaza into southern and central Israel, striking innocent lives and instilling terror. At this moment, when the nation is under siege, our brave volunteers at Feed Israel are stepping up, putting their lives at risk in the face of this relentless onslaught to ensure that those most vulnerable among us are not forgotten. Today, they are venturing into the danger zones of the South and central cities like Tel Aviv, Rishon LeZion, and Ramat Gan, not only distributing sweets and toys to children sheltering in bunkers but also providing cold drinks to soldiers on the front lines. In the cities of Ashkelon, Netivot, Ashdod, and Sderot, we are preparing and delivering hot meals to elderly individuals and Holocaust survivors who are trapped in their homes, unable to leave due to the constant threat of rocket attacks. Despite the storm of rockets overhead, our volunteers continue to visit thousands of homes, ensuring that our elderly citizens and Holocaust survivors receive nutritious, warm meals. One of our volunteers in the city of Sderot had a close call just an hour ago, reaching a staircase room just moments before a rocket landed mere meters away from him. It's a stark reminder of the danger they face. Yet, they persist, driven by a sense of mission and determination to provide for those in desperate need during these challenging times. They are the unsung heroes of this crisis, literally risking their lives to ensure that no one goes hungry during this crisis. This is the spirit of Feed Israel – a spirit of resilience, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our people. Now, more than ever, we need your help. |
