Good morning,

Andrew Forrest’s Squadron Energy says its LNG import terminal at Port Kembla in NSW could be fast tracked to plug looming gas shortages on the eastern seaboard , amid fears regular shortfalls are likely to emerge much earlier than initially anticipated.

Meanwhile, global coal supplies could suffer as Anglo American struggles to get a fire under control at its troubled Grosvenor mine in Queensland which analysts warn could face permanent closure.

And a new case has been lodged in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal’s human rights division against cosmetics giant Mecca.
