Sprouted Seeds from your Kitchen Cabinet
By Donna
I always sprout seeds, especially in the winter. I add them to sandwiches, salads, soups, or even eat as snacks! I normally just use a mason jar with a piece or cheese cloth or a little screen material under the jar ring/cap to allow me to rinse and drain daily until they sprout.

I found this cute straw handbag for near to nothing. It has a great look and can be useful in a fun way as a garden planter wreath. Add a simply lining (if using live flowers) or not if artificial flowers that can get changed out with the different seasons are chosen. I wanted to give it a more fresh look, so it was updated with spray paint, colorful ribbon, and flowers.

To start your new plants use a K cup after drinking your coffee. Add a little dirt to your K cup and add your seed. The cup already has a hole in the bottom which is perfect for draining.

One year, my mother was given a potted Easter lily. After the blooms were spent and shriveled, she gave me the plant, to do with as I liked.
Cleaning a Hummingbird Feeder Bottle

To remove mildew from the hummingbird feeder bottle, place a bunch of small nails inside the bottle. Add a little hot, soapy water and gently shake the nails back and forth across the inside edges of the bottle. The nails will loosen all the mildew buildup.
Thriftstore Glass Garden Tower

I have seen other examples of this type of project and wanted to create one of my own. Currently it is decorating my kitchen countertop, but will move outside into the garden when the weather improves.
