During National Nurses Week, May 6-12, TheUniversityofTexas MDAnderson CancerCenter honors nurses here and around the country for their amazing work and support. |
A registered nurse and a cancer survivor, Jill Carter has a special perspective. |
"When I sought a second opinion at MDAnderson after being diagnosed with cervical cancer in May 2010, I was amazed at the level of care I experienced," she shares. |
Jill had traveled from Kansas to Houston for treatment. Yet despite being far from home, she says she never once felt alone and she knew she was in the right place. |
"I've been around enough health care environments to recognize that MDAnderson is unique," she says. |
Now it's your turn to share a story about a nurse who has earned a special place in your heart by caring for you or a family member. |
|
At MDAnderson, our nurses strive to make sure every patient receives support, encouragement, compassion and, most important, hope. |
Please honor our skilled nurses by sharing your story or giving a gift to help support the crucial role they play in MakingCancerHistory®. |
