Aerial antics: Mid-air drug bust leaves drone in the dust Time in prison is tough. You’re deprived of many familiar comforts with few ways to bring items in. But some items (and shipping methods) won’t fly in prison no matter what — and a recent drug bust involving a quadcopter drone is proof. The drone was flying over a Mississippi prison fence when it got caught in a security net. When guards found it, they saw it was carrying cigarette lighters, headphones, a cell phone, phone chargers and drugs. After tracing the drone’s flight path, they eventually caught the two men who launched it. They were apparently trying to help their friend out on the inside.
