This ensemble has delighted New York audiences every Christmas Eve for more than 50 years. In this special 90-minute, 7 PM performance, Rubén Rengel (winner of the Robert Frederick Smith Prize at the 2018 Sphinx Competition) joins the orchestra for J. S. Bach’s virtuosic Violin Concerto in A Minor. The program also features Elgar’s poetic Introduction and Allegro, a charming early Mozart work, and Tchaikovsky’s melodic Serenade for Strings.
