Popsicle Stick Geometric Sculpture - lit with fairy lightsThis intriguing sculpture is made out of a bunch of equilateral triangles made from popsicle sticks and hot glue. If you add LED lights or votives inside, it makes a fantastic lamp. The inspiration for this came from a set of polyhedral gamer's dice, which I think are so cool. Give this craft a try!

Using Cut Off Pant Legs
Using Cut Off Pant Legs. My 7 year old is a little larger than average around his waist, so I have to buy pants that are to long for him in order to get ones that will fit him around his waist, and end up cutting and hemming them for a better fit. . .
Using Yarn Scraps for Crochet Afghans
I crochet afghans for a charity so I have lots of yarn on hand. I sometimes end up with short end pieces of yarn and use to throw them away. Now I save them, join them together and end up with my own variegated yarn. No waste now for what I once considered throw aways. Most of my afghans are granny squares so it works great color-wise.

Add Vanilla Extract To Salt Dough
When making your salt dough for crafts, add a drop of vanilla, it not only makes your creation smell good, but helps prevent mold. Peppermint works well too, but I prefer vanilla.
Homemade Gift Ideas and Packaging
For small gifts, hot chocolate mixes, coffee creamers, etc., take inexpensive felt sheets 8x11 and cut in half longways. You have two pieces 4x11. Sew or glue sides together (I sewed them), resulting in a bag that is 4x5 1/2.
Donate Recycled Craft Supplies for Schools
Teachers spend so much of their own money on materials for the classes. They are always happy to receive old magazines and used craft items. Color books have so many uses for children's crafts, especially seasonal type of pictures.
