Some assistant coaches returning
Ty Montgomery looks like he's being shot out of a cannon when he sprints down field on the Saints' punt coverage team. He's usually the first one to make the tackle, showing that the coaching staff made the right move in choosing him as one of the gunners on special teams from a unit that no longer has the always reliable Justin Hardee. Read Luke Johnson's feature on Montgomery, the receiver and running back who has adapted to his new role just fine. Remember that good news we hinted at yesterday? Well, it looks to be happening. The Saints announced that five of their assistant coaches are expected to be back with the team this week, meaning they will be without three assistants Sunday instead of eight which was the case last week. Also, it looks like Marshon Lattimore and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson could be in action Sunday after missing last week's games with injuries. And if you are looking for some gambling tips, check out this week's Dattitude podcast with Jim Derry and this week's guest Dave Ducorbier. That's all for today. See ya in the morning for the next update. Thanks for being a loyal subscriber. Rod Walker |
