US Digital Corps is here

Hey Baltimore, welcome back to the grind. Today I’ve got some workforce development news. This morning, the US Digital Corps, which is part of the General Services Administration (GSA), tweeted about a new fellowship program for early career technologists.

Recent graduates of school, apprenticeships and bootcamps can apply for a two-year program that combines technology and public service, by way of agency collaboration, talking to the public or working with stakeholders. It’s worth noting that just a few days ago, GSA also announced a move into coworking.

Altogether, it makes me wonder if this might be the federal government’s attempt to attract young workers by trying to be...cool?  New technologists, would you apply? Longtime govtech workers, is this something you would have liked when you were first starting out? Let us know here or @TechnicallyBMR on Twitter.
