Tonight is the fifth night of Hanukkah, which means this year’s Festival of Lights is more than halfway finished. With just a few more days to go in our matching gift campaign, I wanted to give you a quick update about how much support we’ve seen thus far.

As of today, we’ve already matched $21,875 dollars from 326 donors.

The Forward is so much more than a newspaper. Whether I’m checking out the latest holiday recipes collected by our food editor or listening to the Bintel Brief podcast to hear great advice on navigating different family traditions, I’m constantly surprised and excited by everything our team has to offer.

But the Forward is more than our recent work — the archive has articles, photographs, and more, in both English and Yiddish, going back to our founding in 1897. If you’re looking for a photo of a great-grandparent that your Bubbe is certain ran in a print issue or even classic versions of the original Bintel Brief advice column, our archive is a living library of history and community.
