Hundreds are injured each year performing these jumps, but that hasnât stopped thrill-seekers from taking up the challenge. But one man from Wisconsin made a critical mistake when he chose to jump off a local cell phone tower. The 20-year-old climbed Menomonieâs 300-foot Charter Communications tower and jumped in the early hours of the morning â only for his parachute to get caught on a telephone wire when he attempted to land. He dangled 50 feet from the ground until help arrived at 9:30 that morning. Suffice to say, he was arrested for trespassing, which makes his entanglement on the ground much worse than his entanglement in the air.
