Hi **vornaam**,
You’ll likely agree that we have never been in a time quite like the one we find ourselves in now. On that note, we are returning to your inbox for one last time with something special in advance of Emerce eDay 2020.
We have been big fans of keynote speaker David Mattin and we passionately read his newsletter, on trends, innovation and our shared future, New World Same Humans. (Tip: subscribe!). For our last pre-eDay mailing from the programme desk, we asked him to give our readers a sneak preview of the trends that will shape 2021.
Here’s what he shared:
“I’m obsessed with the trends and innovations reshaping our shared future – and reshaping the expectations of your customers.
At the heart of my project to understand those trends is a simple idea. We live in a world in which change feels fast and often chaotic; but we’re still the same old humans, with the same old human needs.
People are motivated by a set of core needs – think value, security, convenience, excitement – that are stable over time. And trends emerge when new technologies and other changes unlock new ways to serve those needs.
At Emerce Day, I’ll be sharing powerful emerging trends based on that truth. They’re trends that will transform the expectations of your customers in 2021 and beyond.
- In a post-pandemic world, The Mentor Economy is set to explode. I’ll share how you can serve consumers on a new quest for the skills, knowledge and expertise they need to thrive.
- In 2021, millions worldwide will cultivate a Metaversal Self, as simulated and virtual worlds become new domains of meaningful experience in which people come together to socialise, experience, and trade.
These two trends, and the others I’ll share, are powerful new opportunities to serve consumers. And I’m excited to tell you much more about them this week.”
Thank you, David. We’re looking forward to watching your talk on Thursday and beyond as we head into 2020.
Readers - are you registered for Emerce eDay 2020? It is 100% free and 100% the best decision you’ll make this week.
