The July and August Design Challenge

Summer’s here and it is time to hit the road! This time around, we’re looking for jewelry inspired by your travels. From souvenirs to found objects, incorporate your past travels into your creation. Collected seashells from walks on the beach, travel stamps from your cross-country voyage, and photos from past trips: these are just a few of the examples of materials you might use. Or, just make a piece inspired by a fond memory of the good old summertime. Be sure to share the specific memory with us that inspired your creation when you submit your image!

May Design Challenge Winners

Arguably the most prized of all minerals, gold has been used in jewelry making dating back 5000 years. So we thought that it would be a perfect color to use as inspiration for the May 2018 Facet Design Challenge. We did not expect anyone to break into Fort Knox for this one; gold tones, yellow stones, wire the color of a sunbeam, or shiny bronze bits and bobs were all in medal contention!
