Destination Alsace
Happy new year everyone
Wishing you plenty of cosy fires!

Lovely to see you again! I hope you had a magical holiday season. Here, the snow hasn't cooled down the atmosphere, quite the opposite. In February, everyone’s excited to bundle up, wax their skis, and hit the slopes. You didn't know you could ski in Alsace? Kùmme mìt (*Follow me / Follow us), I'll show you! Don't forget your scarf!

Get schussing
10 a.m.: Get schussing

As you probably guessed, you won’t find any winter Olympic hopefuls down on our plateaus. Our vineyards prefer magnums to slaloms. To ski, you’ll need to grab your poles and head to the Alsatian side of the Vosges Mountains. A delightful surprise awaits lovers of winter sports with 5 ski resorts to choose from:

  • Lac Blanc
  • Schnepfenried
  • Markstein
  • Champ du feu
  • Ballon d'Alsace

There's something for everyone, with toboggan racing, epic snowshoe hikes, or snowball fights. Not to mention cross-country skiing and the star of the summits: downhill skiing.

What better than a moment to yourself after a day in the cold? Alsace invites you on an intense journey of the senses at one of its many exceptional spas. Between the bubbles and the steam, you’ll find luxury, calm, and serenity. Get comfortable and indulge in the joys of doing nothing, while expert hands send you to a state of bliss. 8 p.m.: A recipe for delight

A visit to Alsace isn't complete without a stop at a winstub! Meaning "wine living rooms" in Alsatian, winstubs are known for warming bodies and hearts with their simple and generous cuisine. On the menu: tarte flambée, sauerkraut, baeckeoffe, liver quenelles, roasted Munster, and other tasty specialties. Add a fruity Sylvaner, a flowery Riesling, and some good friends, and you have a recipe for delight. A perfect way to spend a delicious Alsatian winter.

My Favorite ❤️
Pinot noir braised pork cheeks with sautéed potatoes on the menu at Freiberg. This characterful winstub in Obernai swears by home-made and full-flavoured food.
You deserve it!
