Giving a hoot: Rockefeller Christmas tree has a surprise guest Every year, Rockefeller Center in New York City puts up one of the nation's grandest Christmas trees. But this year, the tree came with a little something extra: An owl that had taken refuge among the branches. The poor little guy was dehydrated and injured, and authorities took it upon themselves to nurse it back to health so he could live a fulfilling life in the wild. The owl, now named Rockefeller, appears to have made a full recovery thanks to a steady diet of mice. He now has a chance to find a new home in the forests near Saugerties. It’s a Christmas miracle!
