The Newest Addition to Our Programs —Dropping In

At Skateistan, we always try to improve what we do and to respond to the needs of our students. So, when we saw that providing an additional space and resources would be beneficial to them, we launched a new program called Dropping In. 

This is the newest addition to our programs cycle, and it gives students a chance to explore other sports, use our library facilities and get help with schoolwork. Even when public school is not in session, holiday programs, field trips and events keep students learning and moving ahead.

Girls Helping Girls — Our New Mentorship Scheme

Working with female students in South Africa, our team there understands the many challenges that girls can face while growing up in a city like Johannesburg. And we know that at this stage of their lives, having the right support can make a huge difference.

So, at the beginning of this year, the team in South Africa began working on a mentorship scheme, called This Girl Can, that is gender specific as well as culturally and developmentally appropriate.
