The Victorian Government has announced funding of $2 million for Swinburne University for setting up the Advanced Manufacturing Industry 4.0 Hub at the university to run training courses in a number of areas using advanced technologies, including smart robotics.

While Australia put paid to the concept of a national identity card in 1986, Singapore boldly went forth and established its SingPass card in 2003. Now, the small nation of four million is taking a step further with plans to give every citizen an online digital identity.

Investment manager Artesian Venture Partners has secured a $250,000 funding grant from Victoria’s start-up agency, LaunchVic.
