Where the beefalo roam: Wait, is that a real word? Don’t tangle with a beefalo or you’ll get the horns! At least that’s what police in Plymouth, Connecticut are saying about a runaway animal that’s considered aggressive and dangerous. The beefalo (yes, it’s a real thing) is a cross between a buffalo and a cow — and this particular specimen decided that he wasn’t about to go quietly into the night. While en-route to a meat processing plant, the beefalo smashed open the back of a truck and escaped. And when officers tried to approach it, the beefalo threatened them as if he was about to charge. The animal’s buffalo genes make it far more resilient and strong than an ordinary steer, so officers are urging locals to use caution while exploring the nearby woods it escaped to. Honestly, they should just leave it alone if you ask me. It’s earned its freedom. Despite how strong the beefalo is, we think it’d have a hard time against this bovine beast.
