All providers registered with CQC are now able to create an account on our new provider portal. If you have a role registered with CQC you can use your email address associated with your CQC registration to create an account on our new portal. Our new portal offers a better experience when submitting statutory notifications and completing some registration actions. Make sure all the contact details we hold for your organisation are correct (you'll need to sign up to the new portal using an email address we have on record). If you're experiencing any difficulties in signing up we wanted to share some top tips to get the best sign up experience: - To use the new portal you'll need to create a new account. Even if you had an account on our old provider portal
- It's currently taking longer than expected for verification codes to be received during the sign up process. This may take up to two hours at present but we are working hard to speed this process up
- It's important that the email address associated with your registration is a unique one (more information below). However some providers are incorrectly receiving this error message "Email Address held by Multiple roles". If you think you've incorrectly received this please contact [email protected]
- Anyone with an email address associated with their CQC registration can sign up to the portal. In future there will be functionality for you to delegate access to others in your organisation
It's important that registered managers in the same provider don't use a shared email address to create their provider portal account. Previously, we allowed people to use shared email addresses for portaluser accounts. To increase security for all users and to maintain confidentiality, we can no longer allow this. Each user must use a unique email address on our new provider portal. New provider portal accounts will synchronise with our registration data. Because of this, emails such as [email protected], utilised by multiple registered managers at a provider will now be restricted to one user on the portal. This adjustment ensures that each user has a unique login credential, enhancing security and accountability within the CQC's systems. Registered managers currently sharing an email address should change to a unique email address and notify us as soon as possible. To update us you will need to submit a Changes to registered details: change contact details notification form You'll be able to submit the following notifications through the new provider portal: You'll also be able to undertake registration activity within the new provider portal including: - Cancelling your registration
- New provider registration applications
For all other notifications and the full range of registration activity you can continue to download forms from our website and submit via email. |
