This is a cute little banner I made for our house warming party. You can find sites on the internet that allow you to print banner letters for free. I printed the banners online with Snapfish for 9 cents each, but you can print these letters with a printer using card stock paper, or send to your local photo developing stores like CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, or Target.

Here in Tahiti we use coconut leaves for many different things. They are used to weave roofing panels for your home, making a broom to clean your home, or even used to make serving plates to serve food on.

Making Paper Roll Kids' Cuff Bracelets
By 15mhhm15
Have an empty paper roll? You can make these temporary kid's cuff bracelets! They are great to make for parties or just for fun like my kids as a costume "toy name cuff watch". It can be used to wear on a field trip (but I'd recommend poking 2 holes and using a string to secure).

How to Turn Pants Into Shorts and a Bag
By attosa
Turning a pair of pants into a pair of shorts and a matching bag is fun and easy to do. I've had these eccentric pants for decades and I thought it was time for a change as the days warm up.

I originally started upcycling my dad's ties when I'd realized I'd made a poor fashion choice when getting him one for Father's Day. Now, I upcycle them so I can continue his own stylish legacy, with his permission, of course! Dad's one of my favourite people and I love to wear things he no longer wears.

My craft tip is to stock up on any seasonal items that look versatile especially if it's 90% off or more. A little modpodge and floral paper flower accents changes the feel of the basket into spring/summer.

Cheater Quilt in Embroidery Hoop
By Sandi/Poor But Proud
I love the older craft ideas like this. Mine is really simple. Take some cheater quilt, the kind that looks like it was sewn together, but wasn't, and bind or cut a square out and put in the hoop.

I have a personalized photo wall calendar, but I find myself not writing on it often because space is limited. This wall memo clothespin board I made will be much more useful especially since I'm a visual person.

I buy baskets at Goodwill to use as harvesting baskets for my garden. While they work awesome, not all baskets are meant to be used this way because they are not sealed. They are easily ruined by being set on the wet ground or from holding damp vegetables and fruit.

Coasters and Pot Holders From Jeans
By Janelle R.
I cut up old jeans and make coasters and/or pot holders. I make four - 4 1/2 inch squares of the jeans, and one - 4 inch square of any cotton material, then sew around the square and sew from corner to corner so it has a big X through it.

A great idea for grandma or teacher. Make printed thank you notes out of art work. Choose colors of ink that work together; I'd limit it to two.

On my sewing machine, there is a storage box where I keep extra bobbins. Until recently, they have been a mess at times. It occured to me that the little finger of a clear latex glove was about the size of the bobbins.

Puzzle Pieces Refrigerator Frame
By lalala...
This is a magnetic photo frame my son made for me years ago at school for Mother's Day. They cut out a frame from a piece of cardboard, glued puzzle pieces to it, spray painted the whole thing, and applied some glitter before it dried. Then they taped a photo to the back and glued on some magnets.
