Laboratory-based sample analysis and exposure monitoring from HSE |
We're pleased to be able to share the results of an HSE study which suggests that significant allergen exposure occurs amongst shellfish processors in the agricultural sector. Organisations need to consider the regulatory implications of processing shellfish 'waste' when turning it into resources. Compost producers, chemical manufacturers, fish food producers and even battery manufacturers are using this material. Health and safety law requires organisations to adequately control exposure to materials in the workplace that cause ill health under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH). |
