Don't be a fool, register your (DEI) tool(s)

Hey Baltimore. This week, the state's main tech trade association announced a major project to promote diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in both tech and the broader commercial sector.

That group is the Maryland Tech Council (MTC), and the project is a so-called DEI Tools Directory.

"By creating Maryland’s first DEI Tools Directory, the Maryland Tech Council aims to simplify the process of assessing technologies that organizations can use to accelerate their DEI strategies," Marty Rosendale, CEO of the MTC, said in a statement. "The DEI Tools Directory will have the added benefit of showcasing the innovative products and solutions that Maryland’s technology workforce has introduced to the market.”

The application is here, and the deadline to submit is September 15th.To be included in the DEI Tools Directory, the relevant technology must have been developed in Maryland or be offered by a company with a Maryland presence.

Entrepreneurs running companies in Maryland: Would you use this directory, why, why not? What kind of tools are you looking for regarding diversity equity and inclusion
