It’s now Hurricane Elsa. Welp, we have a hurricane this morning. Elsa has morphed from tropical storm to hurricane, the first of the 2021 season. At this point, Elsa is expected to head into the Gulf of Mexico and run along the west coast of Florida. But you know how these things are – agonizingly unpredictable. So stay tuned.
Sha’Carri Richardson out. Some big Olympics news: Former LSU sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson, who blew away the field at the recent Olympic trials, can’t compete in the 100-meter sprint in Tokyo. Richardson has been suspended for 30 days after testing positive for marijuana use.
Battling the Confederacy. The fight over removing Confederate monuments in New Orleans is the central element of a new documentary that looks at racism in the U.S. “The Neutral Ground,” will launch the new season of the documentary series “POV” on PBS July 5.
