OED recognized as Partner of the Year for air quality efforts

The Utah Office of Energy Development (OED) is thrilled to share that it has been honored with the prestigious Community Partner of the Year Award at the 2024 UCAIR Summit. The award ceremony took place on Thursday, May 30, 2024. 

The UCAIR Annual Summit recognizes “the work and achievements of Utahns dedicated to improving Utah’s air quality.” OED was selected as the 2024 Community Partner of the Year for its efforts to improve air quality using a multipronged approach through a comprehensive suite of programs, such as the Rural EV Infrastructure (REVI) and multiple tax incentives and rebates. Sen. Nate Blouin speaks at White House summit on energy

On May 28, 2024, Utah State Senator Nate Blouin attended a summit on electric grid modernization at the White House. Senator Blouin spoke on a panel with officials from across the country about the importance of renewable energy sources and investment in energy infrastructure. 

At the summit, the Biden-Harris administration announced the Federal-State Modern Grid Deployment Initiative, which is designed to improve the distribution of clean, affordable power. This initiative comes after the Biden-Harris administration announced $286,100,000 in public funding to support Utah’s clean energy infrastructure. It is clear that President Biden continues to prioritize the success of Utah families. (Read More)
