NATIONAL: MeetingPlay has received a $75 million investment from Sunstone Partners, which will help the technology firm continue to grow and develop innovative products, as well as expand its delivery capabilities and enhance its go-to-market strategies. Founded in 2012, MeetingPlay offers a variety of tech-forward tools for hybrid, virtual and in-person events of all types. BET announced that the late rapper DMX will be honored at this year’s BET Awards. Swizz Beats will be heading the tribute, and the awards will celebrate DMX's life and music throughout the night. The show will air on June 27 at 8 p.m. DENVER: The Punk in the Park festival is returning to Colorado this summer. Brew Ha Ha Productions has announced that live music and beer tasting at Sculpture Park will take place Aug. 7. Some musical highlights will include Pennywise, The Vandals, H2O and more. There will be food trucks, plus more than 100 beers to sample from local craft breweries in the region including Baere Brewing Company, Ratio Beerworks and more. LAS VEGAS: Amalfi by Bobby Flay opened at Caesars Palace earlier this week. The seafood restaurant, which has a 30-seat bar and a 40-seat lounge area, is inspired by the Amalfi Coast with a colorful limestone mosaic floor and teak wood beams. A fish and seafood display is the focal point of the restaurant, and it is staffed by a local fishmonger to answer questions about the food. NEW YORK: The Angel Ball Summer Gala will take place Aug. 20 at the Muses in Southampton. Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research will be hosting the event, and guests will celebrate in a circus-themed tent. Flo Rida will be performing during cocktail hour and Jill Martin, lifestyle contributor to The Today Show, will emcee the gala. The celebration will honor Simone I. Smith.
