Hello Marketers,
Super Bowl Sunday is almost here! Are you ready for advertising’s biggest night? We’ve already got a number of full ads on the site so make sure to check out Adweek’s Super Bowl Ad tracker where you can watch all the ads in one place.
Though several spots are embargoed until the game so make sure to check back Sunday night. My personal favorite isn’t airing prior to the game. If you think you know which one it is after Sunday’s game shoot me a note—[email protected]—and I’ll tell you if you were right.
But that’s enough about Super Bowl—for now. Last week, our new editor of CMO Moves and Innovators Nadine Dietz, worked with our events team to host a summit of top-tier marketers in NYC. Want to know what happens when you get marketers from Target, GE and more in a room together? You can read more about that below.
Quote of the Week “When you’re smaller, you have to be more dedicated,” Juan Javier Peña Plaza, ecd, David Miami, told Adweek. “It’s up to you. No one else is going to solve it for you. And if you’re going to the Super Bowl, all eyes are going to be on you and your team, and you have to deliver.” David Miami is responsible for three Super Bowl ads this year including Devour, Burger King and Budweiser.
Say What? As Robert Klara reported earlier today, per the Super Bowl Fever Survey, “it’s very possible that 17.2 million of us (about 11 percent of the total American workforce) will be calling out of work on Monday, making it the year’s biggest sick day—even though, of course, few of those people will actually be sick.”
