SIDE GIGS: In August, when Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams joined the law firm that successfully defended him against tax fraud charges, some of his critics questioned why a full-time elected prosecutor making $185,000 a year at perhaps Louisiana’s busiest courthouse would seek a side job. But it turns out that DAs regularly moonlight; in fact, 30 of Louisiana's 42 district attorneys maintain a private law practice, state reports show. FAREWELL TO HIZZONER: In a funeral that blended the themes of faith, family and public service, hundreds of mourners packed Most Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Uptown New Orleans on Saturday to say goodbye to former Mayor Moon Landrieu.
