Supplies are in high demand, which means shortages are a global issue facing many nations. When a hospital does manage to get supplies in stock, what someone wears underneath the PPE becomes much less important. And from what we can tell, there’s no better example than this hilarious misunderstanding from Russia, where a nurse from Tula was reprimanded for, get this, wearing a bikini underneath her protective gown. According to her, she wasn’t aware of how sheer the gown was and assumed she could wear something cool and comfortable while she went about her business. But based on eyewitness photos, she looks like a masked swimsuit model wearing a plastic bag. Despite the reprimand, however, she thankfully wasn’t fired — and many patients even claimed her getup lifted their spirits. No surprise there.
