Walmart is the national leading grocer. Need I say more? As long as inflation carries on with substantial increases like it did, Walmart will get hammered and quality in goods will hit degrading levels like it did. Never saw Walmart this bad. If they merge, this might force Walmart to step its game up.

Kroger destroyed what was left of Mariano’s in Chicago. It’s a horrible shopping experience and I much prefer Jewel (Albertson’s). My favorite Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market is going out of business...such a shame!

Yikes, there are pros and cons. I would say there is no rush. I think small grocers will be fine; suppliers understand the importance of those channels, and consumers do as well.
