| This Thursday, November 21, at 9:00 PM, our feature-length documentary, Seats at the Table, will be aired throughout the state of Virginia on public television station VPM (formerly WCVE). The film, which has appeared at seven national and international film festivals, profiles a unique UVA class that brings together university students and residents of a juvenile correctional center through the study and discussion of classic works of Russian literature.
This broadcast is a major step forward in our mission of sharing this inspiring example of transformative education. Created by innovative UVA educator Andrew Kaufman in 2009, this class has been featured on numerous national media outlets, including the Today Show, the Washington Post, and NPR, among many others. |
