SCRA accepts 3 new companies into SC Launch

SCRA has accepted 3 new client companies into its SC Launch entrepreneurial program. Cayce-based Reporting Xpress Inc., a cloud-based online reporting distribution platform for nonprofits, was accepted, along with companies in Aiken and Charleston.

Foundation awards $8.8M during first half of fiscal year

The Central Carolina Community Foundation has awarded 1,012 grants and scholarships in its 11-county area, as well as throughout South Carolina and the nation. That includes more than $450,000 in scholarships to 196 students.

State students improve in Advanced Placement exams

The number of students who took Advanced Placement courses increased in 2019 from 2018, as did the number of students who scored 3 or higher on the exams. In 2019, 20.3% of S.C. graduates scored a 3 or higher on at least one AP exam.

New owners report year of growth for The Cliffs

The first 12 months under new ownership was a year of growth for The Cliffs, which includes Cliffs Realty and Walnut Cove Realty. The Cliffs was acquired by South Street Partners about a year ago.
