Scotland reaches grim milestone as Covid-19 death toll announced

NRS say Scotland has registered over 9,000 Covid-19 deaths

The National Records of Scotland have confirmed a total of 9,053 deaths registered in Scotland with coronavirus mentioned on the death certificate, as of February 14.

The latest statistics from them also show that over 80% of the recorded deaths occured in hospital.

This is when Scotland's road map out of lockdown will be announced

Yesterday Nicola Sturgeon said she will be communicating Scotland's exit strategy out of the current lockdown and would detail coronavirus lockdown rules would be eased - but when are we likely to hear this?

It is believed the First Minister will outline the way for Scotland to get out of lockdown from the beginning of next week, with a 'revised strategic network' due to be implemented.
