Building once housing nuclear reactor controls demolished

It’s the end of an era at the Savannah River Site. Fluor-led Savannah River Nuclear Solutions finished the demolition of a building that once contained the control system, manufactured by a well-known auto company, for rods housed in five nuclear reactor vessels during the Cold War.

S.C Ports October volumes reach within 1% of 2019 totals

The S.C. Port Authority has had a strong month as container, vehicle and inland ports volumes continue to recover, and the first cargo-handling equipment arrives at the Hugh K. Leatherman Sr. Terminal. The terminal is set to open in March.

Columbia-area law firms merge

D’Alberto & Graham and Grimsley Law Firm, led by partners Dan D’Alberto, Michael Graham and Ben Grimsley, merged in October. The new firm serves business clients in areas including commercial real estate, creditor rights and environmental law.
