Midlands Gives sees nearly 64% increase in donations

The Central Carolina Community Foundation reported more than $3.32 million was raised during the day-long push this year, compared to $2.03 million the previous year, representing a nearly 64% year-over-year increase.

Johns Island startup donates masks to health facilities

Johns Island-based life sciences startup company Okra Medical has donated nearly 100,000 face masks to eight hospitals and a pediatric group to help the health care facilities protect against COVID-19. The masks are small so that they can be worn by children and young adults.

Greenville-made masks donated to schools, sheriffs’ offices

Bandana-manufacturers Carolina Creative Products first began making masks at BMW's request. Now, the S.C. Manufacturers Assocation has donated 2,000 of their masks to school districts in Horry and Florence counties and the state sheriffs' association.
