Following nearly 1,200 job cuts since last January, Boeing has slipped out of its holding as the largest private sector employer in Charleston County. More than 10,000 companywide cuts are still to come this year. Roper St. Francis is now the largest private employer.

Nephron, Dominion partner to open vaccination site in Midlands

The site, located off Interstate 77 at exit 2, will provide vaccinations by appointment only to eligible recipients. Nephron-registered nurses and pharmacists are administering vaccines with help from the company’s diagnostic lab staff.
