Montreal logistics company expands to North Charleston

Ray-Mont Logistics, an integrated logistics company out of Montreal hopes to complete its new Remount Road facility by spring. The S.C. Ports Authority said the company will be an addition to the state’s transload export sector.

Lonza expands to produce 30 billion capsules worldwide

As part of the Swiss company's $93 million investment in its global capsule production, Lonza will put $53.7 million toward the automation of production lines at its Greenwood facility. The move is expected to bring 30 more jobs to the area.

Study: SC Housing generated $760 million economic impact

A study from the agency and the Darla Moore School of Business analyzed $461 million in resources deployed by SC Housing in the past fiscal year. The study found SC Housing supported the equivalent of 4,157 full-time jobs.

Central Carolina Community Foundation distributes grants

The foundation has distributed $19,500 to 10 area nonprofits through its Beyond the Table initiative. The grants fund projects that address issues identified as community priorities during the foundation’s On the Table survey.

Cottontown Art Crawl set for March 13

The third annual event, to be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., will feature 82 local artists selling their work at 40 outdoor neighborhood locations. Social distancing and masks will be required.
