S.C. part of proposed $1.6 billion settlement with opioid manufacturer Generic opioid manufacturer Mallinckrodt has reached a $1.6B settlement in principle that would resolve multistate opioid-related claims against the company. The money would be paid into a trust to cover costs of addiction treatment. Silver Airways to relaunch service from Charleston to Fla. destinations Silver Airways is returning service to Charleston in May, offering nonstop flights to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa, Fla. Charleston will be the only S.C. city served by Silver Airways when service launches. The airline previously served Charleston International Airport with flights between South Carolina and Orlando and Tampa. |
