Unemployment claims top 87,600 in week

The S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce said 87,686 people filed unemployment claims from April 5 to April 11. Greenville County saw 10,378 claims filed. DEW says it has processed 268,614 claims since March 14.

AFL prints hundreds of face shields

Fiber optics-manufacturer AFL has added face shields to its repertoire.The Spartanburg-based manufacturer has already distributed more than 100 face shields to Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s Spartanburg Medical and Pelham Medical centers.
