Welcoming Han de Groot as our new Director
WASTE is preparing for significant growth in the coming years, accelerated by the implementation of the next phase of FINISH Mondial (2021-25) and the launch of the Take-a-Stake Fund. We are happy to share that our team is growing, with Mr. Han de Groot appointed as our new Executive Director from February 2021.

Our FINISH Mondial programme has been awarded the 2020 P4G Partnership of the Year! The Partnerships 4 Growth Awards are presented annually to public-private partnerships that have achieved measurable success based on innovation, impact and scalability.


Circular sanitation economy improves climate change resiliency for Ugandan farmers 

The recent research conducted with our partner, Caritas Fort Portal-HEWASA, in Uganda, looks at the potential of producing and applying co-compost to increase resilience and adaptation to climate change.  Increasing climate change adaptation is increasingly important for already-vulnerable communities and WASTE is searching for new ways to link programmes for cross-sectoral impact.
 
Series of publications for start-up businesses in plastic recycling in Mali

In addition to giving youths the opportunity to start their own business in waste management, under the joint EJOM project, small grants are being made available for small and starting businesses. Youth trainees have been particularly interested to start businesses in waste collection, composting, and plastic recycling. This publication series aims to support entrepreneurs & their business coaches.
Launching WASTE's expertise dashboards!
We are pleased to share our latest insights, videos and reports from our field work with the launch of our new dashboards launching with three key expertise niches.
