S.C. delegation advocates for rural broadband funding

South Carolina’s congressional delegation exhorted U.S. House and Senate leadership in a letter to help expand affordable broadband access via future stimulus funding. The letter said that 18 million Americans, particularly in rural areas, lack broadband internet access, according to U.S. Federal Communications Commission data.

Tri-County Tech to fully reopen by Aug. 17

In-person summer classes will resume June 19 alongside online offerings. Classrooms will be limited to 50% capacity with additional social distancing measures in place according to the college's three-phase reopening strategy.
