I painted this last week. I call it “Closer So We Can Hear Our Hearts”.
It measures approximately 6"x7" with a white border for matting and framing.
I painted this I'm not quite sure why. But the feeling I get is that someone should get this to send to a loved one whom they miss during these COVID times. I know there's family and friends I miss. Sure, calls and online helps. But it's not the same as being in the same room close to one another to enjoy all the vibes too. You know what I mean? Let's get closer so we can hear our hearts and not just our voices! I'm looking forward to that day. Aren’t you?

Quote of the week
"This though is the time for humble offerings, for silent acts of loving defiance." (Russell Brand, “Recovery: Freedom From Our Addictions”)
Original Cartoons and Art
It’s interesting as an artist. I often assume people just understand that I own the original art to my cartoons and paintings. This assumption has been proved wrong though. I’ll say something like, “I still own the original to this drawing!” and someone will exclaim, “WHAT? You have the original drawings of your cartoons?” Yes, I do.
It’s cool to see them selling though. I own original art and I love them and am glad that I own them. I’m very proud to own them. I paid good money for them. So it thrills me when others appreciate MY work like this too.
Lisa and I joke about wondering how much my work will be worth when I’m gone. But let’s not rush it! LOL.
I hope you have a great week.
Love (I mean it),
David
