From India with love
“I miss my mother,” says Karthika, from Craigieburn. “Being a first-time mum to a 13-month-old born in the middle of a pandemic, I realise the value of my mum even more.”

ABC Radio Melbourne and Everyday asked you to tell us about the person you wished you could be with right now and why you would love to cook up a ‘virtual’ storm with them.

Karthika got to learn how to make the “softest Idli and the best coconut chutney” from her mother in Bangalore, India.

A whale of a story
Everyone has a story to tell, and ABC Radio Melbourne and Melbourne Writers Festival want to hear yours.

The Homespun storytelling competition is back and we are looking for everyday Victorians to share their true tales with us. The only catch is that you must feature the line, 'I have been meaning to tell you'.

Winners will work with ABC Radio Melbourne producers to craft their story to tell on stage in front of an audience as part of MWF 2021.
