At some point, we're probably going to deliver you a ton of good news in this newsletter. Today isn't that day though. Friday was another day filled with storylines to remind you that Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers won't be easy. First, there was the latest on the injury report. Cornerbacks Marshon Lattimore and Chauncey Gardner Johnson are both listed as questionable for Week 2 of the season. Center Erik McCoy, injured in the first quarter of last week's blowout victory against Green Bay, has been ruled out. Wait, there's more. Defensive end Marcus Davenport and linebacker Kwon Alexander have both been placed on injured reserve, so they'll be out for at least the next three weeks. It doesn't stop with the players though. The Saints also will be without seven of their assistant coaches due to COVID protocols.
