After 7 days, who's ahead in the QB battle?
Drew Brees isn't here anymore. Neither is Thomas Morstead. Or Emmanuel Sanders. Or Jared Cook. Those were the oldest four players on the New Orleans Saints' roster last season. With them no longer in the picture due to retirement, signing elsewhere or still figuring out a place to land for 2021, the title of "oldest Saint" now belongs to cornerback Patrick Robinson, who will turn 34 on Sept. 7. Our Rod Walker caught up with Robinson about how he still feels young, despite his age. How did the battle between Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston go on Day 7? Our Luke Johnson has y'all covered. Spoiler alert: It wasn't exactly the best outing by either of them. Of course, there are plenty of other positions to key in on, and I, Amie Just, paid attention to all things all over the field — especially the defense. And last, but certainly not least, it's officially official. We at the Times-Picayune have a transaction to report. Standout Saints columnist Jeff Duncan has re-signed with the paper. He penned his first column (of this stint with us) on Thursday morning. Stay tuned for all things Saints. Friday's practice gears up at 9:30 a.m. Until next time, — Amie Just |
