For the first time since Halloween, the New Orleans Saints were able to celebrate a win, ending their five game losing streak, their longest since 2005. With a big day from Alvin Kamara in his first game back from injury after missing the last four games, the Saints took down the Jets, 30-9. Despite still nursing an injury to his finger, Taysom Hill and the Saints offense finally got on track in the second half after just scoring 10 points in the first 30 minutes. The Saints scored on a field goal for their first points since their week 10 loss to the Titans. Although the plan coming into the game was to limit Alvin Kamara's usage, once the Saints offense got in a flow, they went back to him early and often. He may be the piece the Saints need to make this late push, Jeff Duncan writes. Some familiar faces appeared as the Jets captains, as former Saints players Justin Hardee and Sheldon Rankins both made some significant plays in yesterday's game. At one point, there were three former Saints players on the Jets roster this season but Thomas Morstead has since moved on to the Atlanta Falcons. After the game, there was a brief scare for Saints starting linebacker Demario Davis, who was hit by a fan being tackled on the field following the win. Davis says he's okay, but the fan was escorted in handcuffs after running onto the field. The win was much needed for them, to give themselves a chance in the playoff conversation, but the road only gets tougher from here, columnist Rod Walker writes. The Saints will finish the season with the Bucs, Falcons, Dolphins and Panthers, all four in the thick of the playoff race. The Saints will travel to Tampa to take on Tom Brady and the Bucs for the second time this season on Sunday, after stunning the NFC South leader on Halloween.
