Russia and China signed an agreement during Russian president Vladimir Putin’s visit to China June 25 to establish a joint venture (JV) to design and develop new widebody aircraft.

EASA OKs GX Aviation connectivity on Lufthansa A320 family aircraft

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued a supplemental type certificate (STC) to Hamburg-based MRO provider Lufthansa Technik to install Inmarsat’s GX Aviation Ka-band antenna on Lufthansa’s Airbus A320 family aircraft.

Philippine Airlines begins daily Osaka-Taipei Airbus A321 service on June 25.

TAP Portugal will begin codesharing with JetBlue. TAP will place its codes on JetBlue flights out of New York JFK and Boston. TAP began daily Lisbon-Boston service June 11 and daily Lisbon-JFK will begin in July. Both will be flown with Airbus A330s.
