Roots and Shoots celebrates 100 years of ABC Perth | What's the difference between Alzheimer's and dementia?

There isn’t a single day in the past 28 years I haven’t been excited to come into the studio and play in the garden with all our listeners, to hear you share your stories, wins and losses and most importantly your solutions to problems so we can share the love.

Last week was no exception. Our live broadcast on Saturday June 8 was an absolute blast of hilarity and surprises. Amber and I played dress ups in our new yee-haw cowgirl boots to show our audience just how classy we can get. I almost wet my pants with excitement when Jemima the Dalek rolled in (being a tragic Dr Who fan) to wish 6WF a happy 100 year birthday. Adding to the frivolity, Costa from Gardening Australia popped in as well and Jemima the Dalek offered to exterminate his beard for him. We ended the session by dancing out of the studio to ‘Finally’ by CeCe Peniston. What a way to celebrate our first 100 years on radio.
