Strangford Restocked

Jo Pearson, aka Strangford, is gaining quite the following for her bold linocuts and RISO editions packed with humour, colour, and the occasional groan-worthy pun.

Named after her home near Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland, Jo’s prints start as intricate, hand-carved linocuts – a labour of love that takes weeks. Her work, often featuring quirky animals, is colourful, clever, and just the right amount of weird.

Earlier this year, she left her job as a science teacher to focus on printmaking full time. Now she's mostly covered in ink and lino cuttings – with two dogs and a drumkit to keep her company.

Draw at Arm’s Length: Large Scale Gestural Drawing with Charcoal

21st-22nd June 2025 Workshop

Join us for a two-day immersive drawing experience led by Katie Sollohub, inspired by the rhythms and energy of the beach, the sea and the sky.

You’ll create large-scale gestural drawings (up to 4ft x 8ft) using charcoal, pencil, and mixed media – starting with small outdoor studies and evolving into expressive studio pieces.

Whether walking along the shoreline or layering marks in the studio, you’ll explore movement, repetition, and transformation.

At the end? Take your piece home whole, in parts, or just leave with the memory of the process.
